Welcome Back

It turns out my work was never only about parenting. Parenting was where I first learned to see it. The same principles apply to relationships, organizations, education, communities, and the systems we build together.

Welcome Back
Oh, hi, were you looking for me? Not gone, just moved...

Raising Parents and ThriveParenting

Things may look a little different.

It's still me. It's still the same commitment to helping families thrive through education, speaking, coaching, courses, and writing.

Helping good parents become great parents before they become grandparents...

But something important has changed.

For decades, I have helped parents see their families differently. I could often tell almost instantly when an idea (parenting advice, a way of looking at kids' motives or understanding) reflected reality—and when it didn't—but I couldn't explain how I knew. I could help people see, but I couldn't teach the framework behind what I was seeing.

That changed.

Early in 2026, after a series of deep conversations and many months of asking better questions, the fog finally lifted. For the first time, I could clearly see the underlying structure that connected the work I had been doing for more than twenty years.

That framework has become Adaptive Architecture.

It turns out the work was never only about parenting. Parenting was where I first learned to see it. The same principles apply to relationships, organizations, education, communities, and the systems we build together.

That's why Raising Parents has grown into the Journal of Adaptive Architecture.

What's staying the same?

  • The articles you've come to know and love are finding a new home here.
  • Coaching, speaking, and parent education programs are continuing.
  • My commitment to helping people build stronger relationships and reduce unnecessary suffering hasn't changed.

What's changing?

The work now has a clearer language, a deeper framework, and a broader horizon.

Over time, you'll also see the development of the Adaptive Architecture Academy, with learning opportunities for people who want to:

  • See reality more clearly and understand the framework.
  • Live these ideas more intentionally in their own lives and work.
  • Create new knowledge, research, and teaching that continues to advance the field.

Those pieces are still under construction, so you'll see them appear gradually.

In the meantime, your favourite articles are making their way into the Journal, and I'm delighted you've found your way here.

Welcome back.

While you're here, take a look around...
