Through the sessions, they discovered the source of the conflict, and reconnected using it. Last I heard, they had a family trip to Paris and were planning another trip for the following year...
One single mom booked a session to talk about her tween's distressing change in personality from sweet and cooperative to surly and rebellious, and we talked about what she wanted to accomplish over the coming decade. Years later, she reconnected telling me how close she and her daughter were.
