Parent Coaching
You've probably already read the books.
You've listened to the experts. You've asked friends and family. You've tried the advice that was supposed to make parenting easier.
And maybe some of it helped.
But you're still struggling.
Maybe your home has become too often a place of conflict: sibling rivalry, power struggles, yelling, tantrums, bedtime battles, mealtime battles, or the endless friction of getting everyone out the door.
Maybe you're lying awake at night wondering whether you're making serious mistakes.
Maybe you've created a healthier family than the one you grew up in, and you're still not getting the family life you hoped for.
Sometimes the problem isn't that you haven't tried hard enough.
Sometimes you need someone who can help you understand what is actually happening in your particular family — and find solutions that take your family, your children, and your circumstances into account.
That's parent coaching.
What Is Parent Coaching?
Parent coaching isn't about giving you another list of things you're supposed to do.
It's about helping you understand your family well enough to make choices that actually work.
In coaching, we look at the dynamics of your family, the needs of the people in it, the patterns that keep getting you stuck, and the things you're trying to change.
Then we work out what makes sense for your family.
Sometimes you need understanding.
Sometimes you need a strategy.
Sometimes you need someone to say, Yes. Here's what I think is happening, and here's what you can try right now.
And sometimes you need all three.
The goal isn't to turn you into somebody else's idea of a perfect parent.
It's to help you become the parent you want to be, while understanding what your child actually needs from you.
What Could Be Different?
Imagine knowing what your children need from you — and knowing how to respond when things get difficult.
Imagine:
- children who come to you when they're struggling
- communication that helps everyone feel heard and understood
- less yelling, fighting, and conflict
- greater peace and security at home
- children who can stand up for what they want and need with respect and kindness
- a stronger partnership between parents
- a clear strategy for the future of your family
- feeling more confident about the parent you're becoming
Not a family that never struggles.
A family that knows how to move through the struggles.
How I Work
I have a particular way of working with parents.
I'm interested in what is underneath the visible problem.
When a family is stuck in conflict, simply trying to make the conflict stop doesn't necessarily change what's causing it. We need to understand the people, relationships, needs, expectations, assumptions, and environments involved.
That means coaching can be both deep and practical.
Sometimes the work is about understanding yourself.
Sometimes it's about understanding your child.
Sometimes it's about learning communication skills.
Sometimes it's about finding a specific strategy for a problem that needs solving today.
And sometimes it's about discovering that the problem you've been trying to solve isn't actually the problem at all.
The work is confidential, collaborative, and specific to your family.
And while I take the work seriously, I don't believe parenting has to be solemn.
I'm direct. I'm curious. I'm occasionally sardonic. And I'm not everyone's cup of tea.
That's okay.
Coaching Programs
Different families need different kinds of support.
All three of the Raising Parents confidential coaching programs consist of 12 private coaching sessions, each scheduled for 60 minutes, with additional time built into the schedule when a conversation needs to run over, and unlimited between session support (email, phone, whatsapp, text...)
Some parents want focused help with a particular challenge. Others are ready for deeper work on the patterns and dynamics of their family.
If you're not sure which is right for you, let's talk before you choose.

Understand Your Parenting & Your Child
$6,800 · 12 sessions
Understand what's happening — in you, in your child, and in your relationship.
This coaching program is for parents who want to understand how they want to be as a parent, while also discovering what their child actually needs from them.
We'll look at your parenting, your child's experience, the relationship between you, and the patterns that may be making things harder than they need to be.
The work can include communication skills, navigating conflicting parenting advice, understanding your child's needs, and developing greater confidence in your own way of parenting.
The goal isn't to eliminate every difficult moment.
It's to help you understand what's happening well enough to respond differently.
Want to talk it through before you choose? Let's talk.

That's my commitment to the work.
We May Not Be the Right Fit for You
This matters.
Parent coaching isn't appropriate for every situation, and I'm not the right coach for every parent.
Sometimes a parent needs a different kind of support first — perhaps therapy for unresolved trauma, treatment for problematic habits, or another form of professional help.
Sometimes a family needs more focused skills training rather than deeper coaching.
And sometimes you simply don't work well with my style.
I'm direct. I'm lighthearted. I can be sardonic. If you need a softer or more sombre approach, I may not be your person.
That's okay.
The goal isn't to get every parent to work with me.
It's to help you find the support that is actually right for you and your family.
If that's me, wonderful.
If it isn't, I'll tell you.

You don't need another parenting expert telling you what you should be doing.
You may need someone who can come alongside you, understand what's actually happening, and help you find a way forward that works for your family.
If you'd like to talk about what's happening in your family — or you're simply not sure which kind of support would make sense — let's talk.
